The Run Box Command History

Windows saves all commands you have previously typed in the Run box. The next time you open the Run box with Windows + R, you can press the down arrow key on your keyboard to scroll through previous commands. Select dxdiag from the list and press Enter — no retyping required.

To clear your Run box history, open the Registry Editor (regedit), navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU, and delete the entries you want to remove.
