When to Use Search vs the Run Dialog
Both methods open DXDiag. Choose based on your preference:
- Use Windows Search if you prefer mouse navigation or are not sure of the exact command.
- Use the Run dialog (Windows + R) if you want the fastest possible launch time and prefer keyboard-only operation.
For most experienced users, Windows + R is the preferred method because it is a direct command execution — no search index is involved.
